About this event
Join us for international music, culture, and community!
MTF and The House of Songs are proud to present an exclusive evening of music and cultural exchange, featuring acclaimed Irish trio The Henry Girls with an opening set by Austin artist Nick Adamo. The Henry Girls are sisters Karen, Lorna and Joleen McLaughlin from County Donegal in the North West of Ireland. They combine their Irish heritage with a contemporary sensibility, imbued with compassion, insight, and warmth, both in their lyrics and their magnificent musicianship. Using harp, fiddle, accordion, piano, tin whistle, ukulele and voices, they have a unique rootsy sound which borrows elements of traditional Irish music. Nick Adamo is an Austin based singer-songwriter known for pairing smooth vocals with nostalgic guitar-based soft rock accompaniment. Join us for an unforgettable evening celebrating music, community, and international friendship!

This special event highlights the power of music to connect communities across borders. It also marks an exciting next step for MTF following the expansion of its Physicians for Musicians network to include doctors in Ireland. With proceeds going directly to support the artists, the evening aligns with the mission of The House of Songs—to foster creative harmony through cross-cultural collaborations and shared performances.
Founded by Troy Campbell in 2009, The House of Songs has grown to include 30 partner countries with locations in Austin, Texas and Bentonville, Arkansas. Through songwriting retreats, performances, and international partnerships, The House of Songs promotes cultural exchange, supports economic development, and helps musicians share their work globally.
MTF was founded in 2017 by orthopedic surgeon Dr. Alton Barron to help provide free upper limb orthopedic care for professional musicians in need. It is overseen by a distinguished 18-member Board of Directors, including Grammy Award winning artists Elvis Costello, Rosanne Cash, Diana Krall, and John Leventhal. MTF has helped deliver care valued at more than $2.7 million, keeping hundreds of musicians like Nick Adamo playing both at home and on tour.
Dr. Barron shared his enthusiasm for the addition of Dublin, Ireland to MTF’s mission service areas: “MTF is fortunate to help musicians in the U.S. and now we look forward to serving those in Ireland. Musicians are sacred treasures for all cultures, and this collaboration between American, Irish-American, and Irish musicians celebrates the beauty, richness, and hope of our shared cultures.”
